She has previously worked as a partner at Susman Godfrey LLP, where she served as a business litigator and made many successful negotiations.

She then retired and started working with various nonprofit organizations.

She plays a role as a co-chair for the Museum of Art of Islamic worlds and also serves in the Houston Museum of fine arts and Moody center for the arts as a board member.

She has also helped to found the Houston Cinema arts society and plays a

leadership role at the Menil Foundation.

Franci Neely also has made some financial contributions to these organizations.

She usually wants to be more proactive and not only reactive.

Her day usually starts early in the morning, and after having a cup of coffee, she reaches out to those who need a particular project handled.

She learned from working in Susman Godfrey law firm that focuses on giving the best quality work and not waiting for perfection is the real deal.

This means that procrastination does not make ideas come to life and, therefore not a healthy approach.

Even though it could be perceived as a problem to her, the pandemic has been a lesson to everybody.

Society has learned alternatives and diverse ways of doing things and reaching out through curated lectures, tours, and streamed performances.

This, to her, is an art that has come with new experiences and ideas.

She also believes in making choices that have moral reasons and sticking to them.

She, therefore, ensures that her foundation always aligns with the mission while making her philanthropic contributions.

Therefore, she is principled in making a vertical contribution involving a few nonprofits that prove to be more impactful than the horizontal, where amounts would be less due to many organizations, thus less impact.

Franci Neely believes in the impact of reading books.

To her, the books have helped in drawing kindness and making a difference in others’ lives.
