Global Entrepreneur: Marwan Kheireddine

Marwan Kheireddine is an entrepreneur and co-founder of the international luxury brand, House of Kheireddine. He has been featured as a global entrepreneur by Forbes Magazine and was recently recognized for his work with the U.N. on their World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) initiative to promote entrepreneurship in developing countries such as Afghanistan, Senegal, Lebanon and Sudan.

Kheireddine was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and has always been interested in fashion and design. After completing his undergraduate studies at the American University of Beirut, Kheireddine moved to Paris, France, where he worked as a stylist for various fashion houses. In 1998, he moved back to Beirut and founded House of Kheireddine, an atelier that creates fine jewelry, art and fashion.

Kheireddine is known for using precious metals and gemstones in his designs, which are all made by hand. He has expanded the House of Kheireddine brand to include fashion, bridal collections and high-end accessories such as bags, shoes and belts.

Kheireddine’s current designs are inspired by the Lebanese garden of his childhood. His collection is handmade in Beirut using traditional techniques to create hand-engraved gold necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings set with precious stones such as rubies, blue sapphires and diamonds. He also produces couture fashion collections and bridal gowns.

Kheireddine is deeply passionate about House of Kheireddine’s partnerships with NGOs such as The House of Champs-Élysées for the restoration of the Avenue, and Silk Route Africa that supports women’s cooperatives in East Africa by training them in new skills such as jewelry making, beading and embroidery.

In recognition of his work with the U.N. on their World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) initiative, Kheireddine was recently named a WISE Hero. The WISE initiative promotes entrepreneurship in developing countries such as Afghanistan, Senegal, Lebanon and Sudan.

“The WISE Summit is a unique opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the brightest minds in education from around the world,” said Kheireddine. “I am honored to be recognized as a WISE Hero, and I look forward to bringing my experience as an entrepreneur to help support the next generation of entrepreneurs.” View Source: Wikipedia
