Ryan Kavanaugh explains what Triller Fight Club wants to bring to boxing

An article from Yahoo Finance summarizes the purpose of Triller Fight Club and its promise to captivate young viewers into the fight game. Ryan Kavanaugh is recognized as the co-owner of the social network Triller, which runs the fight league known as Triller Fight Club. Snoop Dogg is credited as the other co-owner in a league that wants to bring a young audience of 17 to 27 to music and combat sports. Triller has put together successful matches between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. and the Jake Paul and Nate Robinson bout. The company has also added rap battles and had popular artists like Lil Wayne perform in between fights. Co-owner Ryan Kavanaugh explains in a most recent interview that Triller believes the younger demographic is very interested in boxing but wants to see it transformed and modernized compared to decades ago.

Triller had to cancel the fight between Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos due to scheduling issues wrought by COVID-19. Triller, instead of being anxiety-ridden, pulled together another fight just weeks ago. Despite the issues with canceling the fight between Lopez and Kambosos, the company believes it was a great learning experience and helped them understand how to conduct business going forward. Triller argues they have found the recipe for success and that is putting together exciting fights paired with notable musical performances and strong showmanship. Ryan Kavanaugh, well known for producing the boxing film, “The Fighter,” which stars Mark Wahlberg, understands how to put events together. Kavanaugh, who use to run Relativity Media, is going to run Triller events and take aspects of what he did in the film “The Fighter” and bring it to bouts. The aspects he is going to use are the same cinematography and lighting. He states the team is creating a new platform that wants to make boxing entertaining again to a younger audience. The co-owner believes boxing is all about entertainment and giving people want they want to see.
